⦁    education and

⦁    youth retention.

Modes of operation

GDFB is striving to continuously listen and assist a community to build  and improve existing community structures. GDFB strives to increase the sense of love and dedication to the land, the environment and the local social fabric and instill a strong sense of belonging. GDFB works extensively with volunteers and local organizations and associations  to implement the activities the community has helped design.

History

Global Development Foundation was registered as an non-profit foundation in Burundi in 2017 (by Ministerial Decree) by professionals building a grid-connected solar power plant in the country. After experiencing and seeing, first hand, the challenges the rural population was facing in the country, the founders wanted to engage deeper with the population to have a lasting positive impact.
